On Friday and Saturday evenings, November 15 and 16, as part of the 2013-2014 UUCWI Chamber Music Series, Theodore Benson performed the Sonata for Two Violins by Eugène Ysaÿe (1858 – 1931) with Gloria Ferry-Brennan who is the exceptional young student artist/violinist from Whidbey Island chosen as one of ten participants nationwide at last summer’s Starling-DeLay Symposium for Violin Studies at The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center in New York City. Teo and Gloria have performed together before, but this time was special as they presented one of the most difficult violin pieces in the classical repertoire. The audience was thrilled with the performance.
